INF Andrew Clark Joins Thunder; Two Hurlers Promoted To AAA

The Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, announced Friday that pitchers Zach Nuding and Fred Lewis have been promoted from the team to Triple-A Scranton. First-baseman Andrew Clark has been signed by the Yankees from Evansville of the Frontier League and assigned to Trenton.

Additionally, right-handed starting pitchers Jose Ramirez and Caleb Cotham have each been transferred to the Trenton roster from Scranton.

Clark is in tonight's Thunder lineup as the DH and is expected to make his Double-A debut against Portland at 7:05pm. Nuding is expected to make his Triple-A debut as a starter for Scranton Friday night.

Clark, 25, was batting .421 with seven home runs and 24 RBI in 24 games played for Evansville this eason. The University of Louisville product was originally a 13th-round draft choice by the Texas Rangers in 2010.
