DANVILLE, Va. - The Danville Braves welcomed two local summer camps to the American Legion Post 325 Field Thursday June 6 for a tour of the stadium. The Coates Fun Summer Camp and the Stonewall Summer Fun Camp came out to see a behind the scenes look at the Danville Braves.
Approximately 60 kids were able to view the press box, see the locker room and clubhouse, and even stand on the top step of the dugout and look over the field just as the players do during the game.
While in the locker room, each camper was able to get their picture taken individually in front of a D-Braves locker while sporting an official Danville Braves game hat with the D-Braves home and away jerseys hanging in the locker behind them.
The final stop of the tour found all the campers out in center field for group pictures with the stadium seats behind them.
