Steve Gruver Added to MWL West All-Star Team

Cedar Rapids, IA - The Midwest League announced that LHP Steve Gruver has been added to the MWL West All-Star roster, replacing Tyler Duffey who was promoted to Fort Myers on June 5th.
Gruver joins teammates Dalton Hicks, Jorge Polanco, Byron Buxton, Adam Brett Walker, Travis Harrison, Niko Goodrum and Jose Berrios as the eight Kernels selected to the MWL West squad for the 2013 MWL Summer All-Star Classic, scheduled for June 18th at Fifth Third Field in Dayton, OH.
The All-Stars were nominated and selected by the field managers of the 16 MWL teams. Four Kernels were selected as starters: Dalton Hicks at first base, Jorge Polanco at second base, and Byron Buxton and Adam Brett Walker as outfielders.
The Kernels led the MWL with four starters. Bowling Green had the most players selected to the team with nine, three starters and six reserves, for the MWL East team.
Wisconsin will provide the coaching staff for the MWL West team and the Dayton field staff will coach the MWL East team.
