Cingrani Leads Bats Against Columbus

May 28, 2013 - International League (IL1) - Louisville Bats News Release


Southpaw Tony Cingrani (2-0, 0.00) takes the hill tonight for the Louisville Bats for the fifth time in 2013 and the second time since being optioned by the Cincinnati Reds on May 18. The Bats will face IL West division rival Columbus at Louisville Slugger Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.

Louisville is 4-0 in games Cingrani has started and he has not allowed a run in 19.1 innings at the Triple-A level this season. He owns a 0.57 WHIP and .083 average-against with the Bats. With Cincinnati, Cingrani went 2-0 in six starts with a 3.27 ERA and 41 strikeouts to just nine walks in 33.0 innings. The Reds were 4-2 in his starts.
