Rohlfing Promoted to AAA Rochester

May 28, 2013 - International League (IL1) - Rochester Red Wings News Release


Rochester, NY - Catcher Dan Rohlfing has been transferred to Rochester from Double-A New Britain, the Red Wings announced today. Rohlfing, making his first trip to the Triple-A level, hit .274 with 19 RBI in 39 games with New Britain this season.

A 14th round selection of the Twins in 2007, Rohlfing entered the 2013 season with a .242 career average with 6 home runs and 103 RBI in 314 games over six seasons. Last year, the St. Louis, MO native hit .235 with one homer and 27 RBI in 91 games between Ft Myers (A) and New Britain (AA).

Rohlfing, 24, who has also played games in the outfield and at first base in his career, is expected to be in uniform for the Red Wings 7:05 p.m. game against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (Phillies) on Tuesday night.
