Silver Hawks' Announce Memorial Day Weekend Food Drive

South Bend, Indiana - Your South Bend Silver Hawks have partnered with St. Vincent De Paul for the second year in a row to host a food drive Saturday, May 25th and Sunday, May 26th at the Cove. The St. Vincent de Paul Society serves over 70,000 people annually in Michiana providing food, emergency assistance, clothing, furniture and educational programs to those in need.
"We are excited to be partnering with the Silver Hawks again this year," stated Charlie Thompson, Executive Director of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. "We are grateful for the support of the Silver Hawks and the community in helping us fulfill our mission to serve those in need and inspire those who serve" states Anne Hosinski Watson, Director of Development St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Joseph County
Fans that donate non-perishable food items, or make a cash donation of $10.00 or more, will receive 2 ticket vouchers to the Silver Hawks' game on Wednesday, June 5th against the Lake County Captains. Donations can be brought to the gate the day of the game or dropped off in advance at the Box Office located on South St. between 10am-5pm.

We are always looking for opportunities to help the citizens of Michiana. Join the Silver Hawks Saturday, for a chance to win a flat screen every inning and partake in an on-field pregame catch and a postgame autograph session on Sunday. In addition to the food drive, the first 500 fans 18 and older on Saturday and Sunday receive a free Silver Hawks' t-shirt sponsored by St. Vincent De Paul.
