TODAY'S GAME: The Red Wings snapped a 3-game losing streak on Sunday and today will look to earn a split of their series with Columbus in the finale from Frontier Field at 7:05 p.m. Monday also marks the final regular season meeting between the two teams this season with the Clippers leading, 4-3, thus far... Rochester is just 6-8 since their season-high 4-game winning streak, April 24-27, and are in 5th place in the North Division -- 8.0 games back of Buffalo and Pawtucket... Meanwhile, the Clippers have still won 6 of their last 10 games and sit in 2nd place in the West -- 6.5 games back of Indianapolis.

WITH A WIN TODAY, THE WINGS...:

-Will earn a split of the 4-game set with Columbus and will avoid losing a series for the first time since dropping 3 of 4 to SWB at Frontier Field 4/15-4/18

-Will earn a split of the season series with the Clippers after the two teams also split in Columbus last week

MORE ABOUT YESTERDAY...:

- The Wings won for the 3rd time this season when trailing after 5 inn... It was, however, their 9th comeback win of the year.

-Rochester scored a tied for season-high 5 runs in the 6th inning yesterday to erase a 1-0 lead... 4th, 5-run inning this season.

-The Wings recorded a pair of doubles (Benson & Colabello) to extend their streak of recording an extra-base hit to 21 games.

CLIPPER KILLERS: After a 2-for-3 day on Sunday, 1B Chris Colabello is now hitting .500 (13-for-26) with a home run, 5 doubles, 6 runs and 2 RBI in 7 games against Columbus this season... Wings DH Jeff Clement has also found his stroke against Columbus as he has gone 8-for-23 (.348) with a double, 2 HR and 5 RBI in 6 games against the Clippers... In fact, 42% (8 of 19) of Clement's hits this season have come against Columbus... P.J. Walters is 2-0, 2.92 (4 ER/12.1 IP) in 2 GS vs. COL.

-As a team, the Wings are hitting .262 against Columbus while the pitching staff has posted a 3.05 ERA vs the Clippers

HENDRIKS HITS THE DL: Red Wings starter RHP Liam Hendriks was placed on the 7-day disabled list after Sunday's game with right elbow inflammation retroactive to May 10. In 5 starts with Rochester this season, Hendriks is just 1-3 with a 5.53 ERA (17 ER/27.2 IP). In his last start, Hendriks allowed 6 ER for just the 3rd time in 30 career starts for the Red Wings. The 2011 Twins MiLB Pitcher of the Year entered the season with a career 38-20 record and 2.65 ERA in 82 career minor league starts -- including a 13-7 mark and a 2.95 ERA in 25 starts with the Wings.

RICHARDSON JOINS WINGS: OF Antoan Richardson takes the Wings roster spot vacated by Hendriks after a fast start to his 2013 season in New Britain. At the time of his promotion, Richardson ranked 4th in the Eastern League in hitting (.336), 2nd in OBP ( .456) and T-1st in SB (14). He leaves Double-A with a 23-game on-base streak. The 29-year-old - slated to leadoff and play centerfield tonight - has appeared in just 27 games above Double-A in his career. He played in 9 ML games with the Braves in 2011 and has appeared in the IL in brief stints with Gwinnett (2010-11) and Norfolk (2012).

-Signed w/ MIN as a free agent on 2/1/13 after spending 2012 season in Baltimore's organization

CLUBBIN' COLABELLO: Entering play Monday, Red Wings 1B Chris Colabello ranks 10th in the league in hitting (.326), T-2nd in HR (8), T-6th in RBI (24) and 6th in OPS (.958)... He's hit in 13 of the last 14 games (.362; 21-for-58) and has recorded a hit in 78% (29 of 37) of games this season. Colabello is also the only Red Wing to start and play in every game so far this season.

VASQUEZ GETS THE NOD: After RHP Kyle Gibson tossed a 114-pitch CG-SHO on Wednesday, he will get an extra day of rest as his next start which was supposed to come in the finale tonight was pushed back until tomorrow... RHP Virgil Vasquez has been recalled from the Wings bullpen to make the start tonight. His last start was his best allowing just 3 runs on 6 hits in 7 innings back on 4/29 vs BUF... Since then, he has made his first-ever MiLB relief appearance (5/5 @ COL; L, 1.1 ip, 3 h, 2 r) and recorded his first career save - in the 16th inning of Tuesday's game in Toledo - in 3 outings out of the bullpen.

CAUGHT STEALING: After Chris Herrmann gunned down Ezequiel Carrera trying to steal 2nd yesterday in the 8th inning, Wings' catchers have now thrown out 41% (14 of 34) of base stealers this season -- the best mark in the IL . Herrmann has led the way throwing out 8 of 19 (42%) base stealers -- the 3rd best individual mark in the IL... Eric Fryer has thrown out 5 of 12 runners and Danny Lehmann threw out 1 of 3 in his lone start for the Wings on Saturday in game one.
