THE LEAD OFF: The Power and Drive were rained out on Monday and will play two today starting at 5:05 pm. West Virginia beat Greenville 6-3 on Sunday evening to open a four game series. The Power took a 4-0 lead off Frank Montas in the second when Jon Schwind doubled in D.J. Crumlich and Max Moroff hit a three-run home run. The Drive broke up the shutout in the third with a run. John Kuchno earned his first win with a quality start while Kyle Haynes picked up his first save of the2013 season.

BARNES TO POWER DL: Pittsburgh placed outfielder Barrett Barnes on the Power Disabled List on Friday after West Virginia's game against Greensboro. Barnes was injured in Wednesday's Power win while trying to reach on an infield grounder in the seventh inning. The move was made retroactive to May 2, so Barnes could be activated as early as May 8. The outfielder is batting .220 over 10 games with no home runs and three runs batted in.

DRIVE IN: West Virginia and Greenville will square off three more times this season over the next three days. The Power now lead the all-time series 25-23 and have gone 14-7 at home since 2005 in the series.

SOSA SENT BACK: Prior to Sunday's game against Greenville, Pittsburgh transferred Junior Sosa to the West Virginia roster to fill the void created when Barrett Barnes was placed on the Disabled List. Sosa was the Power's Opening Day starter in center and played 12 games for West Virginia before a promotion to Bradenton on April 18. He hit .256 for West Virginia over a dozen games and was batting .353 for the Marauders after five games played in the Florida State League.

SEASON'S "FIRSTS" : Friday's win marked two "firsts" for the Power this season. It was the first time that West Virginia won when scoring five or fewer runs in a game. The club is now 1-13 when scoring five or less. It also marked the first Power victory this season when the team did not hit a home run.

BULLISH PEN: Between the eighth inning on Wednesday against Greensboro and the ninth inning Sunday against Greenville, West Virginia's bullpen did not allow a single run spanning 12 innings.

WINNER WINNERS: John Kuchno's six inning start Sunday was the longest of his career and marked his first professional win. Last Monday in Savannah, Tyler Glasnow pitched five shutout innings to garner his first pro victory.

STREAK SNAPPED: Ryan Hafner allowed two runs on two hits and three walks last night. It stopped a personal scoreless inning streak of seven and two-thirds innings dating back to April 18. The right-hander did not allow a hit during that stretch either.

PROMO UPDATE- MAY 18: The Power will host their annual WVU night on May 18 against Lexington. The first 1,000 fans through the gate will receive a Geno Smith bobblehead. All fans will have the chance to meet and greet Kevin Jones, Truck Bryant, and Da'Sean Butler. WVU Night is present by the WV Army National Guard.

POWER POINTS: Stetson Allie and Walker Gourley each have six game hitting streaks intact heading into Monday's game... West Virginia faced Pat Light on April 16 when he piggybacked Major League rehabber Franklin Morales... Wednesday's series finale against Greenville will be the third of four Grand Slam School Days this season with a 10:30 am start time.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh was idle on Monday and opens a two-game interleague series against Seattle tonight... Indianapolis blanked Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre 5-0.
