York Revolution News Release

The York Revolution offense continued to pile up runs, tying a season-high in runs scored and managing to win a game in which they allowed a season-high, outslugging the Long Island Ducks 13-9 in front of 3,414 fans at Sovereign Bank Stadium on Friday evening. The win is the second straight for the Revs who have now won back-to-back games for the fourth time already this season, and will go for their first three-game winning streak of the year on Saturday night when the homestand continues.

York set season-highs in hits (17), extra-base hits (7), and total bases (30), while tying a season-high with four doubles and three home runs.

Long Island grabbed a first inning lead on a solo homer to left by Ray Navarrete, who entered the game just 5-for-45 on the season. His first home run of the season was the 22nd of his career against the Revs, the most against York by any opponent.

The Revs answered with an unearned run in the second when Andy Marte reached on an error and later scored on a wild pitch. York then took a 2-1 lead in the third, as Brian Burgamy connected on a home run to right, his second of the year.

York starter Nick Green retired seven straight until Ben Broussard homered to left-center on the first pitch of the fourth, tying the game once again at 2-2.

The Revs responded in support of Green, taking the lead for good with solo home runs in the fourth by Johan Limonta and Jeff Fiorentino, going in front 4-2.

Long Island plated an unearned run on a two-out RBI single to right by Adam Bailey in the sixth, bringing the Ducks within 4-3. Green (1-0) rebounded to retire Ralph Henriquez on a groundout, stranding runners at the corners, and hanging in to earn his first victory.

York answered with four runs in the bottom of the sixth, taking a seemingly commanding 8-3 lead. With two outs, infield singles by Fiorentino and Salvador Paniagua kept the inning alive, and Tyler Graham came up with a clutch hit, ripping an RBI double down the left field line, ending the night of Ducks starter Nick DeBarr (0-2). Jason Repko legged out an infield single to plate another run, and then teamed with Graham on a double steal, swiping second, while Graham stole home on the throw. Burgamy capped the outburst with an RBI double to left.

Long Island came right back with a four-spot of their own in the top of the seventh, scoring on an RBI double from Navarrete, a two-run single from Broussard, and an RBI single from Bailey, closing within a run at 8-7.

The Revs had the last laugh, however, continuing the consecutive four-run frames with one more of their own in the bottom of the seventh. Repko provided the big hit with a three-run double to left, part of a four-RBI night, and Andres Perez added an RBI single, extending York's lead to 12-7. Paniagua drove in one more on a bloop single in the bottom of the eighth, as the Revs tied their season-high with 13 runs for the third time.

Henriquez lofted a two-run homer to left in the top of the ninth for the Ducks to close out the scoring.

Burgamy, Fiorentino, and Paniagua all paced the Revs with three-hit nights. Paniagua's three-hit game was his third of the week.
