Generals to Host Star Wars Night this Saturday

May 2, 2013 - Southern League (SL) Jackson Generals

JACKSON, Tenn. (May 2, 2013) - The Jackson Generals will host their annual Star Wars Night celebration on Saturday, May 4, at 4:05 PM. The Generals will host the Evil Empire (Jacksonville Suns) in the first planned doubleheader of the season. The event will be the only officially recognized "May the 4th Be With You" celebration in West Tennessee and organized baseball.

Over twenty characters from the Star Wars universe will be in attendance, including Darth Vader and his Imperial Officers, Darth Maul, Princess Leia, Obi Wan Kenobi, as well as a whole squadron of Storm Troopers, Sand Troopers and Biker Scouts. The characters will be available for pictures and autographs during the game. (Warning: approach Vader at your own risk.)

The Generals will wear special Star Wars-themed jerseys during game one. The jerseys will be auctioned off via silent auction throughout the night. All proceeds will benefit Generals Charities through the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation.

The evening will conclude with an out-of-this-world Star Wars fireworks show, presented by High Tech Special Effects. The Generals guarantee the show will be the most impressive pyrotechnic display this side of the Mos Eisley Cantina.

Tickets are available online at jacksongeneralsbaseball.com or over the phone at 731-988-5299. You can also purchase tickets in person at the Ballpark Box Office during regular business hours.
