BOISE, Idaho - The Ontario Reign (6-2-1), back-to-back Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, suffered a 2-1 overtime loss to the Idaho Steelheads (7-3-1) before a crowd of 2,306 in Boisie Saturday night.

Kevin Estrada's third goal of the playoffs lifted Ontario to a 1-0 lead 4:33 into regulation. Brady Calla intercepted Idaho netminder Josh Robinson's clearing attempt and fed the puck to Estrada stationed in the low slot. The Reign winger got off a shot and followed up on his own rebound to give the Reign the lead.

The Steelheads answered late in the second frame. JF Berube made the save on Matt Case's shot from the top of the right circle, but Adrian Foster was right there to snap the puck just inside the left post to tie the game 1-1 at 16:21.

Both teams had big chances in the third period, but were unable to convert. Derek Couture threw a shot into the Idaho crease that bounced off of Case's skate and was headed into the net, but Robinson covered it with his glove just in time. The Steelheads had a loose puck sitting in the Reign crease before Kyle Kraemer cleared the puck into the corner. The game went to overtime for the second time in the series.

The Steelheads were outshot by the Reign in overtime, but each Idaho shot came on a quality scoring chance. Berube stopped point-blank opportunities by Austin Smith and David de Kastrozza, but Chase Schaber finally converted at 9:36. Gord Baldwin fed the puck to Schaber in the slot where the Idaho forward backhanded a shot past Berube's blocker and gave Idaho a 2-1 win and a 3-2 series lead.

Berube took the loss with 29 saves on 31 shots while Robinson got the win with 38 saves on 39 shots.

Three Stars:

1. IDH - Chase Schaber

2. IDH - Josh Robinson

3. IDH - Hubert Labrie
