Rochester Red Wings News Release

GAME NOTES:

-TURNING POINT: Chris Colabello's team-leading 6th home run of the season off Pawtucket reliever Pedro Beato snapped a 4-4 tie in the 7th inning as the Red Wings won back-to-back games for the first time all season.

-Rochester snapped a five-game losing streak to Pawtucket dating back to last season... After losing 4 leads in 4 games in their series last week in Pawtucket, the Wings erased a 3-0 deficit Sunday for their third comeback win of the season.

-After a 3-run first inning for the Paw Sox, the Wings have now allowed at least one run in the first in 5 straight games. Rochester has allowed 10 first inning runs this season... However, the Wings offense has scored a total of 13 runs in the first inning

-LHP Caleb Thielbar struck out 3 in his 3.0 innings of relief on Sunday and now leads the team with 17 strikeouts in just 13.2 innings.

-Paw Sox shortstop Jose Iglesias' solo home run in the 6th inning gave the Paw Sox a 4-3 lead... The home run was just the 5th of his professional career but 2nd against the Red Wings this season. His other homer against the Wings came on April 11 @ PAW, a 2-run shot off RHP Kyle Gibson.

-RHP Tim Wood, on a Major League rehab assignment, pitched a 1-2-3 8th inning with a pair of strikeouts in his Red Wings debut. Wood, who saved a combined 44 games for Indianapolis the last 2 seasons, went on the DL with a rotator cuff strain in late March.

-Clete Thomas and Colabello, the 3-4 hitters in the Red Wings lineup, went a combined 4-for-7 with a home run and 3 RBI Sunday.
