This annual event will provide tomorrow's stars with an opportunity to showcase their skills in front of a number of CEGEP coaches across the province, as they prepare for their final year of eligibility playing high school football.
"The Alouettes continually seek ways to further contribute to the development of amateur football and this is another great opportunity for our organization to continue our ongoing efforts by working closely together with Football Quebec," said Alouettes Chief Operating Officer, Mark Weightman. "With the support from a strong partner like Tim Hortons, this new event will further provide Quebec football players with another platform to better themselves."
More than 90 players, who were selected by a panel consisting of many CEGEP coaches from across Quebec, will be divided into two teams for this special event. In addition to the Tim Hortons' All-Star Game, the Secondary IV players will have the opportunity to experience a mini-camp with workouts and meetings, to be held the day before the game.
All players will be supervised by CEGEP coaches in addition to competing against the best athletes in their age group.
"The Tim Hortons' All-Star Game is the perfect complement to Football Quebec's Program of Excellence. It allows us to provide young players with a unique opportunity to display their football skills in a CEGEP-level environment," said Mr. Jean-Charles Meffe, Executive Director at Football Quebec. "In addition, partnering with the Montreal Alouettes in this event will ensure a promising future for the next generation of Quebec football players."
The roster for both teams will be announced on Monday, April 22 on Football Quebec's website, as well as on MontrealAlouettes.com. The selected players in the All-Star Game participated in a series of evaluation camps presented by Adidas and organized by Football Quebec last winter.
5-year partnership with Tim Hortons
The Alouettes also took the opportunity to announce its renewed partnership with Tim Hortons for the next five years. With this agreement, Tim Hortons will continue their long association with the Alouettes to support up-and-coming football players across the province for the duration of their deal.

It was only natural to renew our agreement with the Alouettes in a long-term perspective, with the goal of promoting football in Quebec.
