Birmingham, AL - The Birmingham Barons return to Regions Field on Saturday, April 20th to begin a five-game homestand against the Huntsville Stars, Double-A Affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. The homestand includes our first Business Person Special game, which features a special 11:30 AM start time on Monday home games from April through June.
Saturday's game will feature a performance by the SweetRight Brothers presented by Red Diamond and Barber's. The Barons will also be giving away a grill courtesy of All-South Appliance. Saturday will also be Church Night at Regions Field. There will also be a post-game home run exhibition by the DRASH World Touring softball team: The Scrappalators.
Salute to Armed Forces Sunday presented by DRASH highlights the action on Sunday afternoon. A pre-game Youth Clinic presented by Birmingham Southern College will take place prior to Sunday's game. The clinic will begin at 1:00 PM and will feature Barons players and coaches instructing participants on the fundamentals of baseball.
Monday's game will begin at 11:30 AM as part of the team's Business Person Special promotion. The late morning start time will allow local businesses in the area to attend the game while on a lunch break or between mid-day meetings.
Tuesday marks the return of 50-cent Hot Dogs for the 2013 season presented by Kayem Foods, MINI of Birmingham and the Birmingham Zoo. Tuesday is also Social Media Night at Regions Field as the team will be featuring a collection of social-media inspired promotions and interactive activities that fans can participate in right from their smart phone or tablet utilizing Regions Field's free public Wifi capabilities. The homestand concludes with the first School Day of the season on Wednesday, April 24th with first pitch schedule for 11:00 AM.
