Warriors Take Game One 106-101

Austin, TX April 17, 2013 - The Austin Toros fell short of the Santa Cruz Warriors (106-101) in game one of the Development League Semi-Finals Wednesday evening at Cedar Park Center. Warriors forward Stefhon Hannah led his team to victory with 19 points, six assists and four three-point field goals in a game that was nationally televised by CBS Sports.

The Toros (0-1) kept the game close, but weren't able to overcome Santa Cruz's tough interior play down the stretch. Guard Lester Hudson put forth a solid effort for the Toros, scoring 16 of his game-high 25 points in the fourth quarter and finishing the game with an additional seven rebounds, three assists. JaMychal Green earned his second playoff double double with 11 points and 16 rebounds, while Jamarr Sanders tallied 17 points, including 3-3 from three-point range. Dontell Jefferson contributed 15 points off the Toros bench.

Santa Cruz (1-0) had five players finish the game in double figures and shot 48.8% from the field as a team. Jeremy Tyler tallied 17 points, six rebounds and Travis Leslie added in 16 points, six boards. Reserve Lance Goulbourne totaled 12 points and a team-high seven rebounds, while Cameron Jones rounded out the Warriors offensive effort with 15 points and three assists.
