ROCHESTER NOTES:

- The Red Wings have now dropped consecutive home openers for the first time since 2000-01. Rochester, who also lost to Buffalo in last season's home opener, is 0-4 against the Bisons in home openers at Frontier Field.

- INF Eric Farris went 0-for-4 in his Red Wings debut after being promoted from New Britain (AA) Friday night when catcher Drew Butera went on the DL with a broken left hand after being hit by a Ramon Ortiz pitch... Farris entered the game as a pinch hitter for Ray Olmedo in the 4th inning.

- The Red Wings have started 0-3 for the first time since 1997 -- the same year the Wings won their last Governors' Cup

- Rochester put the lead-off man on base in the first seven innings but was only able to push across two runs... The Wings went 1-for-10 with RISP leaving 14 men on base. Buffalo, meanwhile, put their lead-off man on just three times but scored five runs in those innings. The Bisons also left 14 on base, but went 5-for-15 with RISP.

- Former Red Wings closer Bobby Korecky earned the win for Buffalo in his first trip back to Frontier Field since 2008 when he was a member of the Wings... Korecky tossed 1.1 scoreless innings while striking out a pair of Red Wings. He also The former Wing set the franchise mark for saves in a season with 35 back in 2007.
