Flick Sent to Boston for Maxime Sauve

Chicago, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired forward Maxime Sauve (SOH-vay) from the Boston Bruins in exchange for forward Rob Flick.

Sauve, 23, has recorded 23 points (10G, 13A) in 52 games this season with the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League. He has posted a season-high two points on six occasions, including a season-best two goals on Feb. 1 vs. Albany.

The 6-0, 185-pound center has appeared in one career game with the Bruins, making his NHL debut on March 11, 2012 at Pittsburgh, and has posted 89 points (44G, 45A) in 158 AHL games with Providence. Prior to his professional career Sauve appeared in 121 games with Val d'Or Foreurs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, tallying 144 points (54G, 90A).

The Tours, France, native was originally selected by the Bruins in the second round, 47th overall, of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Flick, 22, has notched five points (3G, 2A) in 51 games with Rockford this season. He appeared in 45 games with the IceHogs in 2011-12, posting 13 points (7G, 6A) during his first AHL campaign. The London, Ontario, native was originally selected by the Blackhawks in the fourth round, 120th overall, in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft and played three seasons with Mississauga St. Michael's of the Ontario Hockey League from 2008 to 2011.
