Paradis Dealt to Tampa Bay

Rockford, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired the rights to defenseman Kirill Gotovets from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for forward Philippe Paradis.

Gotovets, 21, has recorded 15 points (2G, 13A) and a +22 rating in 80 games across three seasons with Cornell University. Currently in his junior year, the Belarus native recorded a +1 rating in 22 games. Tampa Bay's seventh-round draft pick in the 2009 NHL Draft, Gotovets registered collegiate career highs in assists (7), points (8) and plus/minus (+13) during his sophomore campaign.

Paradis, 22, has tallied eight points (1G, 7A) in 36 games with the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs this season and has posted 27 career points (7G, 20A) in 102 AHL games with Rockford and Toronto.

Next Home Game: Sunday, April 7 vs. Peoria Rivermen at 5:05 p.m. It's the Hogs 14th annual jersey auction as the IceHogs will don special "Abrahammy Lincoln" jerseys that will be auctioned off following the game. The first 2,500 fans to the game will receive a commerative Abrahammy Lincoln coin, compliments of Lou Bachrodt.
