Ducks Acquire Harry Zolnierczyk from Philadelphia and Assign Him to Admirals

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks, National Hockey League (NHL) parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, have acquired left wing Harry Zolnierczyk from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for left wing Jay Rosehill. Zolnierczyk has been assigned to the Admirals.
Zolnierczyk, 25 (9/1/87), appeared in seven games for the Flyers this season, collecting one assist (0-11) with 36 penalty minutes (PIM). He began the season with Adirondack of the American Hockey League (AHL), earning 9-817 points with 54 PIM in 52 games.
Signed by the Flyers as a free agent on Mar. 8, 2011, Zolnierczyk has scored 3-47 points with 71 PIM in 44 career NHL games. Zolnierczyk made his NHL debut on Oct. 18, 2011 at Ottawa, scoring his first career NHL goal against Craig Anderson in a 7-2 Philadelphia win. He has also appeared in 107 career AHL games with the Phantoms, posting 20-2343 points with 128 PIM.
Rosehill, 27 (7/16/85), scored 4-48 points with 90 PIM in 33 games for Norfolk. Selected by Tampa Bay in the seventh round (227th overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Rosehill has scored 2-35 points in 72 career NHL contests. He made his NHL debut with Toronto on Oct. 1, 2009 vs. Montreal and scored his first career goal two games later on Oct. 10, 2009 vs. Pittsburgh. He was signed as a free agent on Jan. 13, 2013.
The Admirals will conclude a five-game homestand with contests against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins tomorrow night before the Binghamton Senators invade Scope on Friday and Saturday nights.
Tomorrow's game against the Penguins begins at 7:15 p.m. and is the last Admirals Value Night of the regular season with Family Fun Packs and Student Rush Night tickets available.
