Albany Devils Sign Reid Boucher

ALBANY, NY -- The Albany Devils today signed Reid Boucher to an amateur tryout agreement. The announcement was made by Albany Devils General Manager Chris Lamoriello.

Boucher, 19, was selected in the fourth round (99th overall) by New Jersey during the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. He just completed his second year with the Sarnia Sting of the OHL. This season, he led the league with 62 goals - 12 more than any other player. He scored two goals in the Sting's 8-7 win at Saginaw on Mar. 2 to surpass Steven Stamkos' club record of 58. Boucher also led the league in power play goals (21) and finished fifth with 95 points.

In 135 career games with Sarnia, the 5-11, 195-lb. left winger amassed 90 goals and 55 assists for 145 points. He added four goals and four assists for eight points in 10 playoff contests. Prior to Sarnia, Boucher played with the United States National Development Program in 2009-10 and 2010-11.

Last year, Boucher appeared in one game with Albany and made his AHL debut against Syracuse on Apr. 15 at Times Union Center.

Boucher was born on Sept. 8, 1993 in Lansing, Mich.
