Lions Extend Partnership with Nissan

March 28, 2013 - Canadian Football League (CFL) B.C. Lions

(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club and Nissan Canada are pleased to announce this afternoon that they have extended their partnership for an additional two years. Nissan originally joined the club's roster of premier corporate partners in 2010.

"We are very pleased to extend our partnership with Nissan," said Lions president and CEO, Dennis Skulsky. "We feel privileged to have them as the official vehicle of the BC Lions. Nissan's dealer network is renowned for their outstanding support and reach in local community initiatives, a natural alignment for our football club."

As part of the deal, Nissan continues to be the club's official automotive supplier for team executives and coaches as well as the title sponsor of the BC Lions Street Party. Fans attending Lions games will also enjoy the Nissan Titan Toss as Felions distribute mini footballs from the back of a Nissan Titian pick-up truck during each home game.

"Nissan is proud once again to partner with the BC Lions as they enter their historic 60th season," said Nissan Canada's Director of Marketing, Judy Wheeler. "We are pleased to be the official vehicle partner for one of this country's most recognizable and popular professional sports brands."

To help celebrate the partnership renewal, current Lions Angus Reid and Adam Bighill will be signing autographs at the Nissan Canada booth at the Vancouver International Auto Show this Saturday (Reid) and Sunday (Bighill) from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the Vancouver Convention Centre.

Lions fans are encouraged to visit their local Nissan dealer and see the latest vehicle line-up for 2013.
