Toronto Falls 4-1 in Rockford

The Toronto Marlies fell by a score of 4-1 against the Rockford IceHogs tonight at the BMO Harris Bank Center in Illinois.

Marlies forward Spencer Abbott opened the scoring at 12:06 of the first period. Rockford would respond in the middle frame when Jeremy Morin tallied his 26th and 27th goals of the season to give the IceHogs a 2-1 lead. Steve Montador extended the Rockford lead early in the final stanza on his 2nd goal of the year. Brad Mills added an empty net marker to help secure the win.

Toronto returns to the ice on Friday night when they travel to New York for a 7:05 p.m. game against the Rochester Americans, AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres. The Marlies return home on Saturday, March 30 for a 3 p.m. contest with the Abbotsford Heat, AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames.
