Texas Stars Swap Goaltenders with Idaho Steelheads

CEDAR PARK, TX - The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today that the team has recalled goaltender Josh Robinson from loan with the Idaho Steelheads. Additionally, Dallas has reassigned goaltender Tyler Beskorowany from Texas to the team's ECHL affiliate.
Robinson, 23, is recalled to Texas for the second time this season and has severed as the Stars backup goaltender for one AHL game. The Frankenmuth, Michigan native has played in 39 games for Idaho this year, posting a 27-8-1-3 record, with a 2.57 goals-against average (GAA), a 0.925 save percentage (SV%) and five shutouts. Robinson ranks second in the ECHL in wins, shutouts and SV%, he is fourth overall in minutes (2,362) and saves (1,245) and is 10th in the league in GAA. Currently in his first professional season, he was undrafted after playing four years for Michigan Tech (WCHA) and signed a standard AHL contract with Texas on June 6, 2012.
Beskorowany (pronounced behs-kohr-WAH-nee), 22, has been reassigned to Texas three times this season and he has served as the Stars' backup goaltender for a total of 13 AHL games. The Hanmer, Ontario native has appeared in 30 ECHL games this year for Idaho, posting a 16-11-3 record with a 2.80 goals-against average, a 0.911 save percentage and one shutout. Beskorowany was drafted by Dallas in the second round (59th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft and has played in 51 career AHL games for Texas, with a 17-27-1 record, 3.10 goals-against average, an 0.899 save percentage and two shutouts.
The Texas Stars head to Houston on Tuesday March 26th for a 7:05 p.m. faceoff against the Aeros at Toyota Center. Texas returns home on Saturday March 30th for a 7:00 p.m. showdown against the Grand Rapids Griffins at Cedar Park Center.
