Oilers Assign Teemu Hartikainen to Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City - The Edmonton Oilers, parent club of the Oklahoma City Barons, assigned forward Teemu Hartikainen to Oklahoma City.

Hartikainen, a 6-2, 211-pounder from Kuopio, Finland was recalled by Edmonton on January 13 and has three points (1-2-3) in 19 games with the Oilers this season. Prior to his recall, Hartikainen scored 27 points (11-16-27) in 37 games with the Barons. The Oilers 6th round draft choice (163rd overall), has appeared in 48 games with Edmonton, scoring 13 points (6-7-13).

Oklahoma City skates in three games this week, all on the road. Wednesday evening, they take on the Chicago Wolves at 7 p.m. from the Allstate Arena in Chicago. Friday, Oklahoma City visits the Peoria Rivermen at 7 p.m. The trip concludes Saturday evening in Rockford against the IceHogs at 7 p.m. All three games can be heard on the Barons flagship station, 96.1 KXY.
