Philadelphia Wings Captain Brodie Merrill to Host Youth Lacrosse Camp

March 22, 2013 - National Lacrosse League (NLL) Philadelphia Wings

The Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) and team Captain Brodie Merrill will host a youth lacrosse camp at The Shipley School July 29 through August 1.

Merrill, who is widely considered one of the top players in the game, will use his experience as Lacrosse Director at The Hill Academy in Toronto to instruct boys in grades third through eighth how to improve their lacrosse skill and knowledge of the game. The camp will be position-specific and give attendees an opportunity to refine their skill as it relates to their position, ranging from field positioning, ball movement, and practice strategies.

Early registration is now open, until April 15; general registration will be open through July 29. For more information and clinic registration please visit www.WingsLAX.com/MerrillCamp.

Merrill has been named the "Best Player in the World" by Inside Lacrosse and has won nearly every major award in the NCAA, NLL, MLL and the FIL World Championships. He is a three time NLL Transition/Defensive Player of the Year, six time MLL Defensive Player of the Year, has twice been named "Best Defenseman In The World" at the FIL World Championships and was a two time All-American at Georgetown University.
