Rampage Recall David Pacan and Josh Birkholz from Cincinnati

SAN ANTONIO (March 21, 2013) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has recalled from loan forwards David Pacan and Josh Birkholz from the team's ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones.
Pacan, 21, is being recalled to San Antonio for the fourth time this season and has recorded two assists in four games for the Rampage this year. Pacan leads the Cyclones with 38 assists and has tallied 52 points in 57 games, good for second on the team. Pacan, the sixth-round selection (177th overall) of the Chicago BlackHawks in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, spent the last two seasons with the Niagara IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League and played in 133 games, recording 49 goals and 77 assists. During the IceDogs playoff run last year, Pacan averaged 1.00 points per game on eight goals and 12 assists in 20 games as the club made it to the Robertson Cup Finals.
Birkholz, 21, is earning his first recall of the season after attending training camp with the Rampage. The third-round draft pick (67th overall) by the Florida Panthers has recorded 11 goals and eight assists for the Cyclones this season in 47 games with the club. Birkholz is in his first professional season after spending the last two years with the Everett Silvertips of the Western Hockey League where he recorded 47 goals and 39 assists in 138 combined games.
The Rampage return home on Saturday to kick off a three-game homestand against the Oklahoma City Barons at 7:00 p.m. The game will also air live on FOX Sports Southwest.
