Joseph Randle to Drop Ceremonial Face-Off Friday

Wichita, KS (March 21st) - The Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League are excited to announce that former Southeast High School and Oklahoma State University running back Joseph Randle will be in attendance Friday evening to drop the ceremonial face-off as the Thunder play host to the Allen Americans.

Randle was a two-sport athlete in high school, starring as the lead tailback for Southeast High School on the gridiron and also played on the hardwood for the basketball program. He moved onto the college ranks, playing a three-year career at Oklahoma State University, where he finished his eighth in Cowboys history in career rushing yards with 3,085, fourth in career rushing touchdowns (40) and 10th in career scoring with 258 points. That point total is fourth all-time among OSU running backs. Randle was a 2012 Doak Walker Award Semifinalist and unanimous First-Team All-Big 12 by the Associated Press and Coaches. As a junior, Randle led the Big 12 Conference in rushing with 1,417 yards. He has forgone his senior season and will enter this April's NFL Draft.

Wichita is coming off a 4-3 win on Tuesday night over Allen. Matt Robinson notched his sixth game-winner of the season with 1:12 left in the third period to secure the victory. The two teams will play Friday with first place on the line as the Thunder sit just one point back of the Americans with three games remaining in the season.
