Sound Tigers Announce Player Transactions

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Mar. 19, 2013) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers have announced the following player transactions; forward Jason Clark has been reassigned to the Sound Tigers by the New York Islanders from the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL, defenseman Marc Cantin has been reassigned by the Islanders to the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL, and forward Adam Huxley has been released from his professional tryout contract (PTO).

Clark, 21, dressed in 24 games with Gwinnett, recording the first two goals of his professional career along with seven assists. The Eden Prairie, MN native returns to the Sound Tigers where he has notched two assists in four games this season.

Cantin, 22, has appeared in 20 games with the Sound Tigers during the 2012-13 campaign. The Omemee, ON native recorded one assist and 44 penalty minutes with the Sound Tigers, and shows nine points in 25 ECHL games with Reading last season.

Huxley, 29, skated in eight games with the Sound Tigers after signing a PTO with the club on Feb. 28. The Wainwright, AB native recorded 12 penalty minutes, and returns to the Las Vegas Wranglers where he has posted nine points (three goals, six assists) and 213 penalty minutes in 48 games this season.

The Sound Tigers return to action this Friday in Providence against the Bruins, before returning to Webster Bank Arena for contests on Saturday against the Springfield Falcons and Sunday against the Albany Devils.
