Islanders Recall Ullstrom from Sound Tigers

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Mar. 13, 2013) - The New York Islanders announced they have recalled forward David Ullstrom from loan from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Ullstrom, 23, scored the game-winning overtime goal in last night's 3-2 victory over the Springfield Falcons after being returned to the Sound Tigers on Monday afternoon. The Jonkoping, SWE native has appeared in 19 games with the Islanders this season, totaling two goals and three assists.

Originally the Islanders' fourth round pick (102nd overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Ullstrom has amassed 13 points (six goals, seven assists) in 48 games with the Islanders over the past two seasons.
