Worcester Sharks Host 3rd Annual Job Fair on March 15 at DCU Center

WORCESTER, MA- Worcester Sharks President Michael A. Mudd along with The Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development has announced today that the Workforce Central Career Center of Worcester, Milford, and Southbridge will partner with the Worcester Sharks on Friday, March 15, 2013 to host the 3rd annual Job Fair before the Sharks host the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins at the DCU Center.
Employers from across the Commonwealth will gather at Worcester's DCU Center from 1p.m. - 5p.m. to meet with hundreds of job seekers looking for their next career opportunity. Admission to the job fair is FREE and job seekers from across the Commonwealth are welcome. The fair will feature employers from across the Commonwealth with over 2,000 job opportunities in healthcare, bioresearch, education, software engineering, manufacturing, construction, retail, and more.
"The Sharks have welcomed over 3,500 job seekers at the job fair over the last two seasons," said Mudd. "It has been a great partnership with the Workforce Central Career Center for this event and we are expecting another large turnout on the 15th."
As an added bonus, all job fair attendees on March 15 will be offered A BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE TICKET OFFER for the Sharks game that evening versus the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins at 7:30p.m. Boston Celtics guard Avery Bradley will appear and sign autographs presented by Southbridge Savings Bank. Avery is averaging a career high 9+ points per game with the Celtics this season and will sign autographs from 6:30-8:30pm. As with every Friday night home game, enjoy hot dogs, popcorn, and sodas for just $2! The game will be televised live on Charter TV3.
In addition, the Sharks would like to remind everyone that FREE tickets for the unemployed program has been honored again for a 4th consecutive season. The program provides FREE tickets to Sharks fans and their families that have lost their jobs at all Wednesday home games at the DCU Center for the 2012-13 season in partnership with the Workforce Central Career Centers.
The FREE tickets for the unemployed will be available for up to four family members and only be offered at the DCU Center Box Office on the day of the game. All fans that wish to receive a FREE ticket(s) must present a valid proof of unemployment and a valid form of identification.
The program, in conjunction with Sharks Charities and the Workforce Central Career Centers, will offer FREE tickets for the unemployed and their families during the remaining three Wednesday home games:
* Wednesday, March 13 vs. Wilkes-Barre Scranton - 7:00p.m.
* Wednesday, March 27 vs. Manchester - 7:00p.m.
* Wednesday, April 17 vs. Springfield - 7:00p.m.
