Coyotes Sign Forward Darian Dziurzynski to Entry-Level Contract

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have signed forward Darian Dziurzynski (pronounced z'yuhr-ZIHN-skee) of the Portland Pirates (American Hockey League) to a two-year entry-level contract. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

The 6-foot-1, 207-pound Dziurzynski has recorded 5-3-8 and 52 PIM in 40 games with the Pirates this season.

The 21-year-old native of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan registered 27-16-43 in 61 games with the Brandon Wheat Kings (Western Hockey League) in 2011-12.

Dziurzynski was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the fifth round (141st overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
