P-Bruins Release Two

March 8, 2013 - American Hockey League (AHL) - Providence Bruins News Release


Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins, in their 21st season in the American Hockey League, today announced that they have released forward Nicolas Tremblay and defenseman Nolan Julseth-White from their professional tryout agreements.

Tremblay, 24, was signed to a PTO on February 20 and skated in five games for the Bruins. Before signing his PTO, the forward skated in 21 games for the Bakersfield Condors (ECHL), registering 13+1225 totals. The 6'0", 187-pound forward made his professional debut with the Bruins last season, skating in four games and scoring two points. Tremblay is a four-year product of Clarkson University. As an assistant captain in 2011-12, the center tallied a career-high 17 goals and 19 assists for 36 points in 37 games. In four collegiate seasons, the Candiac, PQ, native totaled 88 points (33g, 55a) and 68 penalty minutes in 143 contests.

Tremblay was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the sixth round (173rd overall) in 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Julseth-White, of Chilliwack, BC, was signed to a PTO on March 2. The defenseman skated with Las Vegas (ECHL) this season prior to signing his PTO. In 52 games with the Wranglers this season, the defenseman has recorded 20 points on three goals and 17 assists. His 20 points rank second among Wranglers defensemen. The 6'1", 212-pound rookie is a four-year product of Union College, where he skated in 100 games and recorded 18 points (18a) before graduating in 2012.

The Bruins return to The Dunk on Friday, March 8 versus the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. for Hasbro Toy Night. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a free Hasbro toy.
