Lake Erie Reassigns MacQueen, Calls up Millan to AHL

DENVER - The Denver Cutthroats announced today forward Jamie MacQueen has been reassigned to the team and goaltender Kieran Millan has been called up by their American Hockey League affiliate, the Lake Erie Monsters.

MacQueen, 24, returns to the Cutthroats after spending nearly two months in the AHL with Lake Erie. He appeared in 23 games for the Monsters during his call-up registering two goals and an assist.

The London, Ontario native has appeared in 23 games for the Cutthroats this season scoring six goals and 11 points, including the overtime-winner on Oct. 19 against the Missouri Mavericks for the first win in franchise history.

Millan, 23, is serving his second stint this season with the Monsters. The Boston University product appeared in one game earlier this year for Lake Erie, suffering a 4-0 loss. His .918 SV% for the Cutthroats this season ranks third among the goaltending leaders in the Central Hockey League.

Casey Sherwood has been signed to the roster to fill the vacancy left behind by Millan.

The Cutthroats host the Rapid City Rush on Tuesday at the Denver Coliseum. Puck drop is set for 7:05 PM MST. Both teams are separated by just four points in the CHL standings.
