THIS WEEK'S GAMES
Friday, March 8 at Texas Stars
Cedar Park Center, 7:30 p.m.
The Rampage will face the Western Conference and South Division leading Texas Stars on Friday night at Cedar Park Center. San Antonio owns a 1-6-0-0 record against the Stars this season and are winless in four games at Cedar Park Center. The Stars have dropped three-straight games after rattling off five wins in a row. Texas has been dominant in the third period this season, outscoring opponents 56-34 in the final frame. Following Friday's game, the I-35 rivals will meet four more times this season, with three of the contests taking place at AT&T Center.
Sunday, March 10 vs Oklahoma City Barons
AT&T Center, 4:30 p.m.
The Rampage will host Pucks & Paws Night on Sunday at AT&T Center. San Antonio has won four-straight games at home and Sunday's contest will mark the final game of a three-in-three weekend for the Barons, who will take on Rockford at home on Friday and Saturday. Oklahoma City is currently in 10th place in the Western Conference, just four points above the Rampage. The Rampage own a 4-4-0-1 record in the season series against the Barons and the two teams will square off three times in the month of March, all of which will take place at AT&T Center.
THE UPS STORE BOOK DONATION - March 4
Rampage forwards Zach Hamill and John McFarland will donate more than 500 books to Washington Ele- mentary School (1823 Nolan Street) with help from The UPS Store on Monday at 2:30 p.m. The books were collected through a series of book drives throughout the first half of the season at Rampage games and The UPS Store locations.
PUCKS & PAWS - March 10
The Rampage are encouraging fans to bring their dog for the team's sixth annual Pucks & Paws game on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for you and your dog to catch all the action at the AT&T Center as the Rampage take on the Oklahoma City Barons. In addi- tion, $5 from every dog ticket sold will be donated to Alamo Area Partners for Animal Welfare (AAPAW). All dogs must be on a leash (one dog per person), ac- companied by an adult and will be directed to enter through the Bud Light Courtyard on the west side of the arena, where a water and relief station will be located throughout the evening.
MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT: The Rampage earned a 2-1 victory over the Chicago Wolves on Saturday night in the team's 10th annual Military Appreciation Night. Following the game, the Rampage auctioned off their military-themed, camouflage jerseys and raised $30,000 to benefit Operation Comfort and the Rampage Sled Hockey Team. In 10 years, the Rampage have raised nearly $250,000 to benefit San Antonio's military community.
HOME COOKIN': The Rampage will play 14 of their last 21 games at the AT&T Center where the club has posted a 10-2-0 record in their last 12 games dating back to Dec. 8. In the seven road games remaining this season, the Silver and Black will only venture outside the state of Texas once for a two-game set at Charlotte on March 29-30.
BUSY, BUSY: Following Friday's game at Texas, the Rampage will play 21 games in 44 days to finish out the year. In that span, San Antonio will play at least three games every week and the team will not go more than three days without playing a game.
CALL UPS: The Florida Panthers recalled goaltender Jacob Markstrom and defenseman Nolan Yonkman on Sunday. Markstrom has now been recalled twice this season and has played in two games for Florida on the year, stopping 65 of 71 shots in the two games.
Yonkman made his first appearance of the season for the Panthers on Sunday and record- ed 6:07 of ice time
ICE CHIPS: Zach Hamill - Forward
Zach Hamill tallied the game-winning goal in Saturday's 2-1 win over Chicago on Military Appreciation Night. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound forward has tallied 11 points (five goals, six assists) in his first 12 games for the Rampage since being acquired via trade on Jan. 31. Hamill led the Ram- page in scoring on the Rodeo Road Trip with 10 points in nine games.
Hamill, who was drafted eighth overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Boston Bruins, also leads the Rampage with a plus-12 rating.
