Hogs Release Quick from PTO

February 28, 2013 - American Hockey League (AHL) - Rockford IceHogs News Release


Rockford, Ill. - Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced on Thursday that the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs have released defenseman Kevin Quick from his professional try-out contract.

Quick, 24, joined the Hogs on Feb. 15 and has been held scoreless in three contests. Prior to coming to Rockford, Quick spent the 2012-13 campaign with the South Carolina Stingrays in the ECHL, skating in 52 games while posting 13 points (1g-12a).

The Buffalo, N.Y. native has appeared in 173 career AHL tilts, accumulating 34 points (1g-33a) all with the Norfolk Admirals. Quick also skated in six games with the Tampa Bay Lightning during the 2008-09 season, tallying one assist.

Next Home Game: Friday, March 1 vs. Peoria Rivermen. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. Rockford and Peoria meet for an eighth time this season. The first 1,500 fans to the game will pick up a Hog Nation T-shirt courtesy of Toyota.
