Houston Dynamo FC News Release

HOUSTON, TX (Monday, Feb. 25, 2013) - Only 5 days removed from the start of the 2013 regular season, the Houston Dynamo have formally announced the launch of a comprehensive social and digital media initiative.

This new effort will provide Dynamo fans with unprecedented access to the most expansive and in-depth production of club-related video content seen to date.

"I strongly believe that telling our story and connecting with people is the most important factor in our growth," says Dynamo president Chris Canetti. "We have great storylines, and because of this are taking significant proactive steps to share them. Social media provides a unique platform that will enable us to reach people like never before."

The club has formed a new, 10-person digital content team to manage and handle the video production of daily team news, feature stories, and game coverage.

The content will be hosted on a variety of sources, including the team's official website (www.houstondynamo.com ), a newly re-launched and re-branded YouTube channel called Dynamo Vision, and a soon-to-be-launched Dynamo mobile app. Additionally, team news and information will be distributed through the team's Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as through its email database. These distribution channels offer a groundbreaking opportunity for fans to connect with comprehensive, daily coverage of the Dynamo, Dynamo Academy and Soccer in Houston. This multi-channel distribution platform will reach an initial audience of 250,000 soccer fans and will grow quickly as the program ramps up.

Starting this week, the content will include a number of regularly-scheduled weekly features and programs for a destination viewing experience. The weekly schedule is as follows:

Mondays

Monday Morning Outlook - Expert analysis of the team's next game with early news and opinions on current team developments.

Tuesdays

Player Fun Facts - Interesting off-field thoughts and opinions from players

Canetti's Corner - A discussion of hot topics surrounding the club by team President Chris Canetti.

Wednesdays

Kickin' it with... - A "get to know you" player feature

Thursdays

Post-game press conference - Live streaming of that day's post-game press conference from BBVA Compass Stadium

This weekly staple content will be supplemented by coverage of relevant stories, such as breaking team news, special events, community initiatives, and other club developments.

"This content will not only serve our current hardcore fan base, but it will also help grow our team's following," added Canetti. "This internal initiative will compliment the increased exposure and content derived from our new broadcast partnerships with CSN Houston, Gow Media, and Mega TV."

Fans attending matches at BBVA Compass Stadium can stop by the newly-added Dynamo Social Media Center on the stadium concourse to learn about the club's social media plans, participate in promotions, and receive gifts when signing up for the Dynamo app, following the Dynamo on Twitter, or liking the Dynamo on Facebook.

The Dynamo open the 2013 season on Saturday, March 2 when they host D.C. United at BBVA Compass Stadium in a rematch of the 2012 Eastern Conference Championship.
