Utah Grizzlies News Release

Loveland, Colorado - The Colorado Eagles defeated the Utah Grizzlies 4-1 Sunday afternoon at the Budweiser Events Center.

Both teams again skated extremely shorthanded due to injuries and suspensions, with Utah dressing 11 skaters and finishing with 9 and Colorado dressing 13 skaters and finishing with 12.

The Eagles took a 2-0 lead with goals 29 second apart at 8:11 and 8:40 of the first period and made it 3-0 with 2:33 left in the opening frame.

After Utah outshot Colorado 15-6 in the second period, Utah got on the board and made it 3-1 6:50 into the third period. Utah goaltender Adam Morrison came out of his crease to play the puck as Colorado swarmed in.

After Morrison dove to the ice several times, he eventually got the Grizzlies the puck back in the circle and up ice to Kory Falite as James Martin scored his second goal of the year.

The Eagles made it 4-1 with a power-play goal 5:02 later at 11:52 and that would cap off the scoring.

Utah returns home for Two-For-Tuesday February 26 to host San Francisco. Rinkside, center and corner plaza tickets are available for buy-one-get-one-free at the Maverik Center box office.
