Shock Sign Guard Doneeka Lewis

February 22, 2013 - Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) Tulsa Shock

Tulsa, OK - The Tulsa Shock have signed guard Doneeka Lewis. In the 2011 season with Tulsa, Lewis averaged 6.2 points per game and 2.8 assists in five games. Lewis is playing in Turkey for Canik Bld averaging 35.9 minutes per game as well as scoring 15.4 points per game. Lewis is Shock guard Roneeka Hodges' twin sister.

"Doneeka is a veteran guard that is hungry to get back into the WNBA," Shock Head Coach Gary Kloppenburg said. "She is having an excellent year playing overseas and I know she will come into camp ready to battle for a roster spot."

The Shock's home opener will be May 27th against the Washington Mystics at the BOK Center. The game will be broadcasted live on ESPN2.
