Heat Recall Mitch Wahl, Sign Andy Bohmbach

Abbotsford, BC - Abbotsford Heat General Manager Jay Feaster announced today the recall of forward Mitch Wahl from the Utah Grizzlies (ECHL) and the signing of forward Andy Bohmbach (BAUM-bahk).

Wahl leads the Utah Grizzlies in scoring with 59 points (19 goals and 40 assists) in 45 games, and sits third in ECHL scoring. The native of Seal Beach, CA was named an ECHL All-Star this season and has served as an alternate captain of the Grizzlies. Wahl was originally drafted by Calgary in the 2nd round with the 48th overall pick in the 2008 NHL Draft.

Bohmbach, a University of Wisconsin graduate, has compiled 177 points in 167 games in the ECHL over three professional seasons. Bohmbach has served as alternate captain of the Trenton Titans this season and has posted 20 goals and 21 assists in 45 games. Bohmbach was named to the ECHL All-Rookie Team and was named to the ECHL All-Star Game in 2010-11.
