Mallet Returns to Chicago

The Vancouver Canucks have reassigned center ALEX MALLET (muh-LAY) from the ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings to the Chicago Wolves.

The 20-year-old forward dished out 2 assists in Kalamazoo's 4-3 overtime win against Toledo on Saturday to up his point total to 22 (9G, 13A) in 31 games with the K-Wings this season.

The Amqui, Quebec, native has also skated in 14 games with the Wolves this season during his professional debut, accruing 7 penalty minutes.

MALLET posted career-highs with 34 goals, 47 assists, 81 points, and 132 penalty minutes in 68 QMJHL games with Rimouski Oceanic last season. He ranked first on Rimouski with 34 goals and 132 penalty minutes and second on the squad with 47 assists and 81 points.

The Vancouver Canucks second-round draft choice, 57th overall, in the 2012 National Hockey League Entry draft also shared first on Rimouski and seventh in the league with 25 points (10G, 15A) in 21 postseason matchups in Oceanic's run to the QMJHL Finals last year.
