Colorado Mammoth News Release

DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth has announced special events that are planned for its inaugural 'Military Appreciation Night' that will be held this Saturday, February 16 on HealthONE Field at Pepsi Center at 7pm MST. Military personnel will be recognized throughout the game, and an Oath of Enlistment will take place on the field at halftime.

"It promises to be a night to remember, and one in which in our true heroes are shown the gratitude they deserve," said Mammoth president & general manager Steve Govett.

Players will wear theme uniforms that resemble those of the U.S. Armed Forces, with each jersey bearing the name and branch of the military of an active or retired military member. A 'Jerseys Off Our Backs' ceremony will immediately follow the game, with the Mammoth meeting the military members who they commemorated on their chests.

Military personnel will save 15% off regularly-priced merchandise at Altitude Authentics on Saturday night with a valid military ID.

Earlier this week, 2012 National Lacrosse League MVP John Grant Jr. joined head coach Bob Hamley and members of the Wild Bunch dance team at the Denver VA Medical Center to visit veterans during National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans Week.

Tickets to 'Military Appreciation Night' are on sale now at the Pepsi Center box office, all Colorado Dick's Sporting Goods retail kiosks, online at TicketHorse.com, or by calling 303.53.HORSE.
