Akron Aeros Announce 2013 Season Job Fair

(AKRON, OHIO) February 12, 2013 - The Akron Aeros announced today it will be hosting a two-day job fair on Wednesday, Feb. 20, and Thursday, Feb 21, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Canal Park for part-time and game-day employees.

Positions for the 71 home games during the 2013 season include: ticket takers, ushers, concessions staff, team shop staff, Fun Zone staff, stadium operations, customer service attendants, and game-entertainment camera operators.

"We are more excited about this year's job fair than ever before. Not only will the applicants feel the buzz and energy around the team in anticipation of the season, but we will be able to help put some great Akron residents to work," said Aeros' General Manager Jim Pfander.

Candidates should enter Canal Park through the administrative office entrance, located at 300 South Main Street, Akron, Ohio 44308.

To expedite the process, starting Wednesday, the Aeros have an application on its team website www.akronaeros.com. Applicants can print, if possible, and complete the application before coming to the job fair.

The Aeros are the Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. In the just-completed 2012 season, the Aeros had the best regular-season record in all of Double-A baseball and won the Eastern League Championship for the fourth time in team history. The team begins its 17th season in Akron on April 4, 2013, with a 6:05 pm game against the Binghamton Mets at Canal Park.
