Rebels Win 6-3 over the Thunderbirds

KENT, WA - The Red Deer Rebels won 6-3 over the Seattle Thunderbirds Friday. Rhyse Dieno scored three times to lead the way for the Rebels, he now has 20 on the season. Patrik Bartosak made 47 saves in the Rebels net to help the team win their 29th game of the season.

The Rebels had a 2-1 lead after the first period. Rhyse Dieno and Mathew Dumba scored for the Rebels in the first period.

In the second period, the Rebels had goals from Tyson Ness and Dieno with his second of the night. Dieno's goal came with 28 seconds left in the period on an incredible effort. It was 4-2 for Red Deer after two periods.

In the third, Brooks Maxwell scored and Dieno got the hat trick goal into an empty net. Patrik Bartosak had another good night in the Rebels net, making 47 saves.

The Rebels were 1 for 5 on the power play and killed 4 of 7 shorthanded situations.

The road trip continues Saturday in Kamloops, the broadcast begins at 7:50PM on 106.7 The Drive.
