The first-place Soo Eagles will travel to New York and Pennsylvania for the second time in three weeks, as they will take on the Jamestown Ironmen for a pair of games on Thursday at 11am and Friday at 7pm, and the final regular season matchup against the Johnstown Tomahawks, on Saturday at 7:30 pm.

The Eagles are currently in a first-place tie in the NAHL's North Division with the Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings, with 58 points, one point ahead of the Jamestown Ironmen, and 9 points ahead of the fourth-place Johnstown Tomahawks. The Eagles have three games in hand on the K-Wings.
The Eagles are 3-1 against the Ironmen in the season series, including a split two weekends ago in Jamestown, and a sweep at Pullar Stadium back in late September.
The Eagles are 4-1-2 against the Tomahawks in the season series, including a 3-0-1 mark at home and 1-1-1 on the road.
The Eagles will play Jamestown four times in the span of nine days, as the Ironmen will make their final regular season trip to Sault Ste. Marie, February 8 and 9.
While the Eagles winning streak at home ended last Saturday at 10, they do carry an 11-game unbeaten streak in regulation at Pullar Stadium. The last time the Eagles were defeated in regulation at home, was back on November 17 against Michigan. The Eagles are 15-3-2 at home. Jamestown is 14-4-1 at home.
The Eagles penalty kill unit is now #1 in the North American Hockey League, killing penalties at a 89.1% rate on the season.
Jamestown is led by Luc Gerdes 19-15-34, Evan Ritt 8-19-27, and Tyler Dunagan 14-9-23. The Eagles leading point getters are Jared VanWormer 15-34-49, Eric Rivard 19-29-48, and Alexander Taulien 13-19-32.
Tim Shaughnessy is 9-6-2 on the season, with a 2.21 goals against average and a .923 save percentage, for Jamestown. Eagle's Tyler Marble is 18-5-3 with a 2.27 GAA and a .941 sv%.

The Soo Eagles home winning streak ended at 10 games on Saturday night, as they fell in a shootout 5-4 to the Johnstown Tomahawks at Pullar Stadium. Despite the loss, the Eagles gained a valuable point in the standings, and are tied for first place with the Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings in the NAHL's North Division. The Tomahawks scored three of the final four goals in regulation, then four of five shooters scored in the shootout as Johnstown salvaged a weekend split of their road series against the Soo. Brandon Adams had two power play goals for the Eagles and Alexander Taulien and Sean Murphy also scored. Johnstown got two goals in regulation from Cody Gylling, who also scored in the shootout. Mitch Hall and Connor Wright added the other markers for the Tomahawks, who trail the season series against the Eagles 4-3. You can see the box score here.

Home is where the heart is, and for the past two months for the Soo Eagles, it is where the wins are. The Eagles ran their home win streak to 10 at Pullar Stadium on Friday night, as they scored the final four goals of the game, to defeat the Johnstown Tomahawks, 5-2, in front of 680 fans. With the win, the Eagles stayed in a tie for 1st place in the North Division, as Jamestown was victorious at Springfield on Friday night. Chris Waterstreet scored the first and last goals for the Eagles, his 9th and 10th goals of the season. Jared Van Wormer tallied his 14th and 15th goals of the season. Van Wormer scored a back breaking goal with five seconds left in the second period, to lift the Eagles to a 3-2 lead, as they then carried the momentum throughout the entire third period. Mitch Kontny and Cody Gylling scored the goals for Johnstown, who are now 0-2-1 this season at Pullar Stadium. Alexander Taulien added the other goal for the Eagles, and also had a pair of assists. Tyler Marble was solid between the pipes for the Eagles making 38 saves and earning his 18th win of the season. You can see the box score here.
