Anaheim Returns Frederik Andersen to Admirals; Recalls Viktor Fasth

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, have returned goaltender Frederik Andersen to the Admirals while recalling goaltender Viktor Fasth from the Admirals. In addition, the Admirals have returned forward Garrett Klotz to the ECHL's Fort Wayne Komets.

Andersen, 6-foot-4, 250 pounds, has appeared in 21 games for the Admirals this season, posting a 7-10-1 record with a 2.48 goals-against average (GAA) and .924 save percentage (SV%). He leads the Admirals in GAA and SV% while tying for the team lead in wins. In addition, Andersen's .924 SV% is tops among AHL rookies and ranks eighth overall in the league. Andersen served as the backup goaltender in Anaheim's season-opening victory against the Vancouver Canucks last Saturday night.

Fasth, 5-foot-11, 175 pounds, made his North American professional debut with the Admirals last week, posting a 1-2-0 record with a 1.96 GAA and a .914 SV%. Fasth made his North American debut last Tuesday against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in a 4-2 loss. He earned his first career AHL win on Friday vs. St. John's, stopping 20-of-22 shots and all five shootout attempts for a 3-2 victory.

Klotz, a 6-foot-6, 250-pound left wing, has appeared in two games with the Admirals this season, posting two penalty minutes. He has also skated in 17 games with the Komets, posting two goals and four points with 48 penalty minutes. The 24-year-old native of Regina, Saskatchewan, is a fifth-year pro with 157 career AHL games under his belt between Norfolk, Adirondack and Philadelphia, scoring four goals and 11 points with 191 penalty minutes.

The Admirals return to Scope on Wednesday to face off against the Charlotte Checkers at 7:15 p.m. in another Admirals Value Night, with Family Fun Packs and Student Rush Night tickets available.
