Houston Dynamo FC News Release
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Wednesday, January 16, 2013) - The Houston Dynamo enter tomorrow's 2013 MLS SuperDraft with one pick in each of the draft's two rounds. The Dynamo hold the No. 13 and No. 37 overall selections. The draft will be broadcast live starting at 10:50 a.m. CT on HoustonDynamo.com and ESPN3.com.
The Dynamo have developed several players through the draft in recent seasons. Forward Will Bruin, who set a franchise record with 16 goals in all competitions in 2012, and defender Kofi Sarkodie, who started all six playoff games in 2012, were both selected in the first round of the 2011 draft.
The Dynamo took two players in the 2012 SuperDraft, forward Colin Rolfe (first round, No. 18 overall) and midfielder/defender Warren Creavalle (second round, No. 37 overall). Creavalle played in 11 regular season games as a rookie in 2012, including five starts. Creavalle also started three CONCACAF Champions League games in 2012, helping the Dynamo advance to the quarterfinals by winning Group 3.
The Dynamo begin preseason on Monday, Jan. 21 and open the 2013 MLS season on Saturday, March 2 when they host D.C. United at BBVA Compass Stadium in a rematch of the 2012 Eastern Conference Championship.
Dynamo full-season ticket packages start at $400 and include 20 home games. The club is also offering a new Family Season Ticket Package for the 2013 season. For every full price adult season ticket purchased for $400, fans can purchase an additional season ticket for a child 10 years or younger for just $200, located in the Texas Children's Health Plan Family Section (Section 201). A limited number of seats have been allocated for this program. To purchase your package or for more information on 2013 season tickets, call (713) 276-GOAL.
