Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL, three-time defending North Division Champions and National Hockey League affiliate to the Vancouver Canucks, and American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves announce the team will return to Wings Stadium for two games this week.
Preparing for a three-game week the K-Wings will return to Wings Stadium this Wednesday, January 16th for a 7 p.m. face-off versus the Elmira Jackals during Kibbles and Sticks Night, where fans can bring their dog to the game, presented by Adams Outdoors and COOL 101 FM. Dog tickets for the game will be $5, with the proceeds going to the Animal Rescue Project.
After heading on the road to play the Evansville IceMen on Friday, Kalamazoo will conclude the week back at Wings Stadium on Saturday, January 19th with a 7:30 p.m. face-off versus the Fort Wayne Komets during the 5th Annual Golden Ice Game and a WIN-WIN night, presented by 98.5 FM WNWN. If the K-Wings defeat the Komets on Saturday, all fans in attendance will receive a FREE ticket to Kalamazoo's home game on Sunday, January 27th versus the Bakersfield Condors.
While the K-Wings already wear McDonald's themed warm-up jerseys during the entire season, the team will also don a special McDonald's themed jersey for the night. Following the game, the jerseys will be auctioned off with a portion of the proceeds going to the Ronald McDonald House of West Michigan.
The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities, Inc. (RMHC =C2©) is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. RMHC fulfills its mission by creating innovative, effective programs that address targeted needs, and by supporting these programs and other activities conducted by its local chapters worldwide. RMHC also awards grants to other nonprofit children's organizations that positively impact the health and well being of children around the world.
On Tuesday, January 15th fans can eat with the K-Wings at several McDonald's locations around Southwest Michigan. The following are the locations in which players will be visiting on Tuesday:
4310 Stadium Drive from 8-9 a.m.: forwards Dustin Cloutier, Tyler Shelast and Nick Sirota.
5432 Portage Road (across from the airport from 1-2 p.m.: forwards Aaron Clarke, Kory Karlander and goaltender Joel Martin
5394 West Main Street from 6-7 p.m. : forward Steven Anthony, along with defensemen Sam Ftorek and Elgin Reid
Single-game tickets for the 2012-2013 season are on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office. Ticket Office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday's. To charge tickets by phone, please call Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000.
Tickets for all K-Wings home games are $13 and $17.50 for adults and only $7 for kids ages 14 and under. The price for all K-Wings premium night games (all colored ice games and New Year's Eve game) are just $1 more.
Fans can save money by purchasing K-Wings single-game tickets in advance because tickets purchased on the day of a game increase by $2 (adults only).
