Heading down south, the Kalamazoo Wings will travel to The Arena at Gwinnett Center to take on the Gwinnett Gladiators. Tonight is the first of two meetings between the clubs this season. All-time, Kalamazoo is 6-2-1-1 against Gwinnett.

This evening will start a stretch of three road games for Kalamazoo out their next four games. The K-Wings enter tonight looking to extend a two-game road winning streak. With 33 points, the K-Wings are in fourth place in the North Division, one point ahead of the Evansville IceMen.

Winners of four of their last five contests, the Gladiators lead the South Division by two points over the Greenville Road Warriors. Besides leading the division, the Gladiators, who have 49 points, own the second-best record in the Eastern Conference (24-12-1-0).

Matczak to the AHL

Yesterday, defenseman Mike Matczak was loaned to the AHL's Abbotsford Heat. On the season, Kalamazoo has had eight players recalled or loaned to AHL teams.

Martin Earns Goaltender of the Week

On Tuesday, goaltender Joel Martin earned the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week. Martin, who has played in 19 straight games, leads the league in minutes (1,803) and saves (883).

Sirota Nears 100 Forward Nick Sirota is closing in a personal milestone. Sirota needs three more assists to reach 100 for his career.

Road Trip Kalamazoo heads into Gwinnett looking to extend a two-game road winning streak. The K-Wings will play three out of their next four games away from Wings Stadium.
