Privateers Steal One from the Outlaws

WILLIAMSPORT, PA - For the third straight night the Williamsport Outlaws got on the board first, and for the second time in three nights, the Outlaws find themselves on the wrong end of the scoreboard, falling to the 1000 Island Privateers in overtime by a score of 7-6.

Trevor Karasiewicz got the Outlaws on the board in the first period off his own faceoff win at the 4:00 mark of the first period to tally his fourth goal and 36th point of the season, and give the Outlaws a 1-0 lead.

Peter Campbell would answer Karasiewicz goal, with a shorthanded goal of his own at the 8:28 mark of the period to tie it at 1-1 in the first period.

Robert Sich would label his league leading 26th goal of the season at the 9:31 mark of the period. The power play goal was assisted by Nathan Oke and Chris LeVeille.

Campbell would tie the game at 2-2 with his second goal of the night at the 18:40 mark from Nikolas Temple and Justin MacDonald.

Williamsport jumped back on top in the second period when Brett Needham scored from LeVeille and Oke at the 5:26 mark.

MacDonald would tie the game for the Privateers with a goal at the 6:24 mark from Kevin Morrison.

1000 Islands would take a 4-3 lead at the 6:39 mark of the period when Campbell labeled his third goal of the night.

Tyler Matheson would answer Campbell's goal at the 12:19 mark of the period from Nick Van Den Beld and Oke to send the game into the second intermission tied at 4-4.

LeVeille would give the Outlaws a 5-4 lead at the 2:45 mark from Sich and Oke on the power play.

Martin Moucha would give the Outlaws a 6-4 lead at the 3:56 mark from Karasiewicz and Smyth.

1000 Islands would score two more times in regulation to tie it up at 6-6, the both coming from Peter Campbell who tallied five goals on the night.

Brett Tamane would settle it in overtime when he beat Mike DiLorenzo at the 1:18 mark to give the Privateers the victory.
