Curry Heads Back to Houston, Kuemper Comes to Orlando

Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears announced today that G John Curry has been recalled to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Houston Aeros. G Darcy Kuemper has been assigned to the Solar Bears by the Minnesota Wild (NHL).
Kuemper returns to Orlando after playing one game for the Solar Bears on November 23 against the Gwinnett Gladiators. In his lone Solar Bears appearance, Kuemper stopped 37 of 38 shots, giving up the lone goal of the game halfway [image: Darcy Kuemper] through the third period.
He has appeared in five games with the Houston Aeros (AHL) this season, collecting a 3-2-0 record, 2.56 GAA, and .898 save percentage, along with earning a shutout on a 33-save effort against Milwaukee on October 27. He split last season, his first as a professional, between Houston and the Ontario Reign (ECHL), and in eight games with Ontario he posted a 1.74 GAA and .941 save percentage while going 7-1-0-0.
Curry has played 15 games for Orlando this season, recording a 2.68 GAA, .910 save percentage, and an 8-5-2 record. He is currently fifth in the ECHL in minutes played (894) and is third in the league with 406 saves.
